Film-makers under siege

THE recent suggested guidelines for television dramas - the do's and don'ts from script content to set design - has sparked off quite a storm among local film-makers. From being concerned about too much rigidity to the main fear of restricting the very basics of creativity, several spoke out against and/or pleaded for the authorities not to be too heavy-handed when these guidelines are eventually implemented.
