Veteran actor A. Rahim dies

KUALA LUMPUR, Mon. - Well-known director and actor A. Rahim, 61, died of suspected heart attack tonight. The veteran actor, known for his "baddie" roles in Malay films, was found slumped against the steering wheel of his van parked at Jalan 24/56 in Taman Setiawangsa, Ulu Kelang, with his mouth foaming. Two employees of Juara TV Productions, of which Rahim was an adviser, said Rahim, a Singaporean, was alive when they found him in an unconscious state about 7.30pm. Adnan Abu Bakar, 24 and Syed Bakar Syed Yusof, 30, managed to flag down a police car which brought Rahim to the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital.
