Stretch of KL-Karak highway closed to traffic

KUALA LUMPUR, Wed. - The Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway, between the 38th and 62nd kilometres, has been closed to traffic indefinitely following a major landslide, about nine kilometres after the Karak tunnel, early today. Motorists travelling towards the east coast from here and those travelling south from the east coast have been advised to use the old Kuala Lumpur-Bentong road via Janda Baik. Signboards have been placed by the Malaysian Highway Authority to inform motorists about the closure.
