Our students get award for academic excellence

LONDON, Sun. - Rabiatul Adwieah Abdul Shukor and Shaliza Ibrahim have been adjudged winners of the inaugural High Commissioner's Award for academic excellence. Malaysian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tan Sri Wan Sidek Abdul Rahman, who made the announcement at his office at Belgrave Square here said the two were selected from 29 short-listed students. The award is open to all Malaysian students studying in the UK. It is divided into two categories - graduate and post-graduate. Both winners, Rabiatul for the graduate and Shaliza for the post-graduate category, will receive K500 (about M$2,400), a trophy and a certificate.
