Saloma's kin turn up in full force

GLITTER and sequins Saloma-style once again shared the limelight as Central Market paid a tribute to legendary entertainer - the late Saloma. Her family was present at the function to launch the eight-day Saloma Festival. Elder sister Mariani, dressed in a floral print baju kurung, launched the ceremony by signing the visitors' book and playing an old Saloma hit over the gramophone. Accompanying her on stage were Saloma's younger half sisters Mimi Loma and Hajah Rafeah who livein Singapore. Both were dressed in lacy kebayas decorated with glittering sequins and tiny beads.
