Moving tribute to a legendary singer

THE days when the Vespa was the king of the road and Saloma ruled the airwaves came back to the Central Market last Wednesday in a eight-day tribute to the singer. The late singer's family members and guests gathered at the exhibition corner to launch the Saloma Festival held until the end of the month. Saloma's sisters - Mariani, Hajah Rafeah and Mimi Loma - were the guests-of-honour of the night along with her daughter Dian P. Ramlee and nieces Sasha and Melissa Saila. After the signing of the guest book by Mariani to launch the tribute, music from the legendary singer filled the air in Central Market.
