Wearing a Mario game character outfit, Nintendo's Yoshiaki Koizumi presented the company's new gaming console, the Nintendo Switch, during the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 in Tokyo recently. It's the company's seventh major game console. It has been designed primarily as a home console with the main console unit inserted into a docking station to connect to a television. Alternatively, the console can be removed from the dock and functions similar to a personal tablet computer through its LCD touchscreen, or placed in a standalone tabletop mode to be playable by several people.
