Selangor claim top prize

BASKETBALL: Selangor were crowned the overall champions of the Malaysian Schools Sports Council's basketball championship following their triumphs in the boys' and girls Under-12 finals and third place finishes in the Under-18 events in Penang. In the boys' Under-18 final, Johor, after three years of waiting, captured the title defeating Sarawak 79-52. Selangor beat Penang 67-55 for the bronze. In the girls' Under-18 final, Malacca clinched victory with a thrilling 53-51 win over Johor while Selangor beat Kuala Lumpur 58-39 for the bronze.
