Schizophrenic cabbie fit to stand trial

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court found a schizophrenic taxi driver fit  to stand trial in an attempted murder case where he allegedly ran over  a guard at a hospital. Judge Azman Mustapha yesterday made the ruling against T. Ganesan, 44, after reading the mental evaluation report by Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, Perak. "The medical report shows he is fit to stand trial," Azman  said. On Oct 16, Ganesan was charged with trying to murder Mohd Azhari Yusoff, 41, at Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan in Wangsa Maju on Oct 12 last year.
