Senior citizen pleads not guilty to graft

KOTA KINABALU: An elderly man pleaded not guilty at the Special Sessions Court on Corruption here yesterday to receiving bribes totalling RM600,000 last year. Chin Kee Leng, 62, was charged with receiving the bribe from Alester Law Chen Tze, 31, purportedly to be given to Land and Survey Department officers here as an inducement to reduce the land premium for Lot CL.015372915 belonging to Kuala Medalam Sdn Bhd from RM2.75 million to RM1.65 million. Judge Datuk Ishak Bakri set bail at RM10,000 with RM5,000 for each of charge and fixed Jan 19 for case management. - Bernama
