AirAsia to lease aircraft to India unit

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd has entered into an agreement to lease its Airbus A320-200 aircraft to its 49 per cent owned joint-venture company AirAsia (India) Pte Ltd for USD1.92 million (RM6.9 million). AirAsia had previously entered into two other leasing transactions with AirAsia India, which is also owned by Tata Sons Ltd (30 per cent) and Telestra Tradeplace Pvt Ltd (21 per cent), for USD29.88 million.
