Shahrir is Gas Malaysia's new COO

KUALA LUMPUR: Gas Malaysia Bhd has appointed Shahrir Shariff as its chief operating officer (COO) effective yesterday. In its filing to Bursa Malaysia, the company said Shahrir has over 23 years of experience mainly in project-related development works. Shahrir started his career as an auditor with one of the big accounting firms in London and later in Kuala Lumpur. In 1992, Shahrir joined Petronas and over the next seven years was involved in the development of Kuala Lumpur City Centre LCC on the corporate and business development side.
