Measat sets up network for multimedia services

OPERATOR of Astro satellite Direct-to-U (DtU) broadcast services, Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd is setting up its own private telecommunications network in preparation to launch a range of multimedia interactive services as well as increase its business reach. To be fully implemented by the third quarter of this year, the network will be key in supporting services like pay-per-view movies and entertainment programmes which is expected to be launched within the year.
