Making science-fiction movies locally

HOLLYWOOD, the movie capital of the world, has produced several box office hits that made use of computer graphics. However, new emerging technologies seem to receive the cold shoulder from our local film industry. In recent years Hollywood has leapfrogged ahead in producing highly entertaining and realistic movies that utilise the tools of computer technology. However most locally produced films so far seemed to address only social issues so far.
