Tickets for `Mahathir' musical snapped up

KUALA LUMPUR: Tickets for the first three nights of Tun Mahathir The Musical were sold out two days before its premiere yesterday (Friday). Istana Budaya director-general Mohamed Juhari Shaarani said the public response to the musical about fourth prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was overwhelming. Eighty per cent of the tickets were sold out before the premiere. He said Istana Budaya would extend the musical's duration by five days from Sept 24 to Oct 9. The musical is the brainchild of Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim. It is produced by Siti Rohaya Attan and directed by Rosminah Tahir.
