What makes a good cartoon?

CARTOONS remain as a form of entertainment for the majority of teenagers. Ask around, and I'm pretty sure you'll find teens talking about cartoons like Avatar, Spongebob Squarepants, Kim Possible, Pokemon, and more commonly - the Simpsons. And if anime is counted as a form of cartoons, the legion of fans just got a lot bigger. Personally, I'm not a lover of anime, but I hear the names of certain shows often enough to know that they have great fan bases. For instance, Take Bleach, Death Note and Naruto.
