US, UK keen on Indon project

JAKARTA: Research and Technology Minister Bacharudin Habibie said four US states and Great Britain have expressed interest in hosting production lines to assemble an Indonesian aircraft. The Antara news agency quoted Habibie as saying yesterday in Lamongan, East Java, that the four US states have offered to produce, under licence, the N-250 aircraft of the state aircraft industry Industri Pesawat Terbang Nusantara (IPTN). Habibie did not identify the states, but he had said in January that Kansas and Arizona expressed interest in hosting a production line for the N-250. - AFP
