15 dengue cases in 21 days

MALACCA: Fifteen dengue cases were reported in the state in the first three weeks of last month. No patients, however, have been warded for treatment, said state Health Department director, Dr Ghazali Othman. "Overall, the situation is still under control," he said after launching the state-level Third National Health and Morbidity Survey, here, recently. The Health Ministry has declared war against the disease and has appealed to the public to help prevent the spread of dengue. This came after 3,211 dengue cases and eight deaths were reported between Jan 4 and 17, compared to 1,514 cases recorded in the same period last year.
