MIER: Domestic fruits, cooking oil not under expanded SST’s scope

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) has provided further clarification on the expanded Sales and Service Tax (SST), confirming that the new five per cent sales tax effective July 1, will apply to only imported fruits, not domestic produce.
