Duopharma medicine gets halal cert

KUALA LUMPUR: Duopharma Biotech Bhd received the halal certification from the Islamic Development Malaysia Department for a medicine used in treating anaemia linked to chronic renal failure in adult haemodialysis and predialysis patients, as well as paediatric patients undergoing haemodialysis. The product is distributed to Malaysian healthcare facilities. Group managing director Leonard Ariff Abdul Shatar said the company remained dedicated to broadening access to medicine.
