Sabah Energy bags deal with Petronas

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd has sealed a milestone agreement with Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) to enable the wholly owned state government-linked company to supply natural gas to Esteel Enterprise Sabah Sdn Bhd. Under the deal, Petronas will supply an additional 104 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of natural gas to SEC, bringing its total natural gas supply to SEC to 370 MMscfd in support of Sabah’s industrial and energy needs. This will enable SEC to supply Esteel Enterprise with 150 MMscfd of natural gas annually, valued at RM1 billion.
