PTP sets record in TEU handling

KUALA LUMPUR: The Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) set a record as the first container terminal in Malaysia to handle more than 12.25 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) last year. This surpassed its previous record of 11.2 million TEUs in 2021, further solidifying its position as Malaysia’s largest transshipment hub. PTP chairman Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh said it was gratifying to witness how the port had risen to the occasion, embracing challenges and transforming them into opportunities for growth.
