Maxis, MICTH in connectivity tie-up

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Melaka ICT Holdings (MICTH) to further develop connectivity infrastructure in the state. This includes increasing broadband capacity through fiberisation of mobile sites and expanding fibre to the premise coverage for homes and businesses. Maxis will also work with MICTH to enhance digital connectivity and services at public offices and community centres. Maxis chief executive officer Goh Seow Eng said it would continue to explore future-ready use cases, such as Smart City and industry solutions powered by 5G-Advanced technology.
