Petronas unit renames refinery complex

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd, a unit of Petroliam Nasional Bhd, has renamed its Melaka Refinery Complex to Melaka Energy Park to commemorate the company’s pearl jubilee. Malaysia Refining said it would focus on expanding its capabilities to fulfil the needs for cleaner, safer and more efficient energy. Malaysia Refining chairman Ahmad Adly Alias said its commitment to excellence had driven the company to look for ways to produce various types of petroleum products to meet the energy demands beyond domestic markets.
