RM373m financing for Inland Port Perlis

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd yesterday announced the approval of Tawarruq asset financing facilities amounting to RM373.54 million to Inland Port Perlis Sdn Bhd. The financing, for up to 20 years, was for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning costs of its integrated inland port, Perlis Inland Port, in the Chuping Valley Industrial Area. The 200ha port aims to streamline Malaysia-Thailand cross-border trade, alleviating capacity constraints at the Padang Besar Container Terminal.
