TULIP Mania, which occurred in the Dutch Republic during the 17th century, is one of the most infamous episodes in financial history. The speculative bubble emerged in the early 1630s when tulip bulbs, particularly those of rare and exotic varieties, became highly sought-after by the Dutch elite.
