Dr Mahathir in hospital with lung infection

PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur with a lung infection following his return from the Haj on Wednesday. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office yesterday, Dr Mahathir, who was admitted to the IJN at 8pm on Friday, is in stable condition. Doctors have however advised Dr Mahathir not to receive visitors. The statement said that Dr Mahathir had been advised by his regular doctors at the IJN to rest and undergo full treatment.
