Putrajaya will be a money-spinner: PM

LIKE what the private sector has done with its development projects, the Government expects to make money from Putrajaya, the new administrative capital, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad. "This is a big investment on the part of the Government and we expect to earn quite a considerable income over the next 20 to 30 years," he said on his first working day at Putrajaya yesterday. So far, RM5 billion has been invested in the project covering 4,518ha, of which RM400 million was spent by the Government on public amenities and the rest by Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd.
