From biscuit maker to property developer

MK LAND was formed on August 2 1978 in line with the tremendous growth prospects in the biscuit manufacturing industry in the country. The company first constructed its factory in Alor Gajah, Malacca in 1980 which commenced commercial production a year later with the installation of its first fully RM2.2 million automated biscuits production line purchased from Europe. The biscuits were marketed under the brand name "Julie's". In July 1987, spurred by the growing demand for its popular brand "Julie's" biscuits, Perfect Food purchased its second automated biscuits production line costing about RM3.8 million.
