King attends sister's funeral

THE Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Ja'afar yesterday attended the funeral of his sister, Tunku Aidah Al Marhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman, at the royal mausoleum in Seri Menanti in Kuala Pilah. The late Tunku Aidah, 78, died of old age at her house in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. She leaves behind a son, three daughters and eight grandchildren. Her remains earlier arrived at the mosque in Seri Menanti for prayers before being taken to the mausoleum. The Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Najihah, the Regent of Negri Sembilan, Tunku Naquiyuddin and members of the royal family were present at the funeral. - Bernama
