MetroVision broadcasts

"Metro Vision Channel 8", the TV station run by City Television Sdn Bhd, is expected to start full broadcasts in the third quarter of this year after several postponements, it was announced yesterday. The country's second private TV station is currently making test transmissions. City Television is a consortium of several companies - Metropolitan Televisyen Sdn Bhd (50 per cent), Kumpulan Utusan Melayu (30 per cent), Diversified System Sdn Bhd (10 per cent) and Medanmas Sdn Bhd (10 per cent).
