Lat and his cartoons, 30 years later ...

THE well-known Malaysian cartoonist Lat (Datuk Mohd Nor Khalid) released his new book entitled "Lat 30 Years Later" in Kuala Lumpur last Monday evening. The 165-page, hardcover edition of the book was officially launched by Tan Sri Samad Ismail, the veteran journalist. Samad was one of the very influential persons at the New Straits Times during the 1970s who had given the cartoonist his much-needed break, initially in the Berita Harian and, later, in the New Straits Times, from the early 1970s onwards.
