SWEDEN at times struts the Earth as if there is a halo above its national head. Perhaps because it often tops this or that global table. Well, almost. Nordic nations, not entirely for Nordic reasons, normally do. Sweden’s problem may be Swedish common sense somewhat sanctioned by its constitution. Unlike its Nordic neighbours, which quickly went into lockdown, Sweden is experiencing a bad case of Covid-19. From March 11, when it recorded the first case of Covid-19, till the end of last month, Sweden has suffered a death toll of 5,743 and 80,422 confirmed cases.
