Homestay party busted, 38 remanded over drugs

KLUANG: Police raided a lively gathering at a homestay in Jalan Delima here on Sunday and arrested 76 people. The individuals, comprising 56 men and 20 women aged between 15 and 35, were detained by a team from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation division about 1.30am. Bernama reported 28 men and 10 women tested positive for drugs and were remanded until July 8. “During a body search, police found illegal substances on three men, comprising one plastic packet suspected of containing ketamine weighing 1.85g, one packet of marijuana weighing 1.8g, and 21 ecstasy pills,” said Kluang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Abduh Ismail.
