Fast-tracking Malaysia's oil and gas development
PETRONAS, Malaysia's national oil company has since its inception on 17 August 1974, grown by leaps and bounds. Starting out as a small outfit of just 20 employees in the premises of the Prime Minister's Department in Jalan Dato Onn, Kuala Lumpur, PETRONAS has evolved into a fully integrated petroleum group of companies with a workforce of about 34,000 employees worldwide and its headquarters at the world's tallest twin towers. Its transformation over the past three decades was not without its challenges, but in the indomitable Malaysian spirit, PETRONAS has proved its mettle.
