Sanusi takes over from Najib as IIU president

KUALA LUMPUR, Tues. - Former Kedah Menteri Besar Tan Sri Sanusi Junid has been appointed president of the International Islamic University of Malaysia effective March 1. His appointment has been consented to by the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, the constitutional head of IIU. "IIU places full trust in his integrity and wisdom as the new president to achieve the objectives of IIU as an international standard university based on the Islamic perspective," its rector Prof M.
