Sabbaruddin Chik is new Umno sec-gen, Yusof Nor is info chief

KUALA LUMPUR, Thurs. - Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced tonight the appointment of eight new supreme council members and sprang a few surprises when Information Minister Datuk Mohamed Rahmat was dropped as secretary-general and replaced by Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Datuk Sabbaruddin Chik.
