Fergie's mother dies in crash

LONDON: Susan Barrantes, the mother of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, died in a car accident in Argentina, Buckingham Palace announced yesterday. Barrantes, 60, was the ex-wife of the Duchess' father Major Ronald Ferguson. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, who were attending the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, "were shocked and very saddened at the news", a palace spokesman said.
