Record 102,324 TEUs for Johor Port

KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Port Bhd achieved a record monthly throughput of 102,324 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) last month, overtaking the previous high of 99,039 TEUs reported in July 2019. For the first eight months, Johor Port recorded an impressive throughput of 698,914 TEUs, representing an increase of 16.7 per cent, or 100,201 TEUs, compared with the same period a year ago. Chief executive officer Md Derick Basir said this underscored Johor Port’s capability to handle large volumes.
